The concept

We are an organization who aim to promote a healthy way of life and prevent premature death. By information and discussion we come directly in contact with people to raise their awareness of this topic. There is a great potential for illness prevention, if we can change peoples behaviour.

       My health is my buisness

Wrong! Your health could have a devastating effect on your family and friends. A prolonged period of health care will inflict a big burden on the health system and therefore the economy and society as a whole. That is why we believe people must be held to account for their unhealthy lifestyle.

       Campaign stratagy

We will be promoting our ideas with websites, social media, information stands, placards, stickers, and most important, talking to people. There will also be letters and phone calls to buisnesses, politicians, and public workers, especially on one of our key demands, the ban on cigarette advertisment.

        How you can help

If you would like to take part in any of these activities, please contact the organizer on the Kontact site.

    The health activists

With simple changes to your life, you can seriously reduce the risks of disease and premature death.

Reduce your weight

Obesity is a serious, chronic disease that can have a negative effect on many systems in your body. People who are overweight or obese have a much greater risk of developing serious conditions, including:

Heart disease

Type 2 diabetes

Bone and joint disease

Stop smoking

Smoking and Increased Health Risks:

Smokers are more likely than nonsmokers to develop heart disease, stroke, and lung cancer.

Smoking is estimated to increase the risk—

For coronary heart disease by 2 to 4 times

For stroke by 2 to 4 times

Of men developing lung cancer by 25 times

Of women developing lung cancer by 25.7 times

Smoking causes diminished overall health, increased absenteeism from work,

and increased health care utilization and cost.

Do more exercise

A sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical activity can contribute to or be a risk factor for:

Cardiovascular disease

Colon cancer

High blood pressure

Lipid disorders
